With the publication of version 2.0.0 on 28 January 2026, the GS1 Verifiable Credential Data Model is maintained as a living document on GitHub. The document, which is not a GS1 standard, is under the control of GS1's Verifiable Credentials Steering Committee. Members of the committe may be contacted via vcsc@gs1.org or by raising an issue in the GitHub repository.
