This segment is used to identify any attributes of a product which can not be identified using an EAN article number. This segment should not be used where an EAN article number has been provided in the LIN segment.
Data elements 9021 and 9019: As no EDIFACT code values exist for these data elements codes should be assigned by the supplier, buyer, or if possible an industry or national grouping agency. An example of the type of codes which could be allocated (in a textiles environment) for this data element are as follows;
DE 9021 : 1 = Shirt; 2 = Suit; 3 = Trousers;
DE 9019 : CO = Colour; TX = Textile; ST = Style; SZ = Size Example :
