| Segment Notes: |
This segment is used to identify the EAN/UPC article number of a product. The detail section of the Price/sales catalogue is formed by a repeating group of segments, always starting with the LIN segment.
Note: The functionality to provide article availability information which was previously catered for in data element 7011 of the PIT segment is now contained in data element 4183 of the ALI segment at LIN level.
Example :
LIN+1+4+5412345111115:EN'
Dependency Notes :
DE C212: This composite will only be used for the identification of EAN/UPC numbers. If another coding structure is required, e.g. HIBC, then this composite will not be used and the code will be detailed in the PIA segment.
DE C829 and 7083: These data elements are only used when sub-lines are required.
DE 7083 is used to indicate whether the price of the sub-line is included in the main line or not.
FOR A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION ON THE USAGE OF SUB-LINES PLEASE REFER TO PART I, SECTION 4.11 . |
